About

Chaya Kudla LAc, NTP

Chaya feels very fortunate to have grown up with Holistic Medicine as a primary method of healing in her life.  Her father, a Naturopathic Doctor and Licensed Acupuncturist and her mother, a Psychotherapist, brought the alternative healthcare picture into a living tradition within their home and daily life. Growing up with an organic garden, whole foods diet and holistic healthcare setting, Chaya adopted these ways of living as a  child and it was a natural progression to continue them into her professional career.

Chaya's philosophy of care includes the belief in the body's ability to heal itself.  She believes that with proper self care, quality raw ingredients/nutrients, guidance and supportive treatment, one can achieve optimal health both physically and mentally.  Through Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and/or Nutritional Therapy she assists the body with its natural homeostatic processes to regain health and maintain balance.

Chaya graduated from Bastyr University in 2005 with a Masters of Science Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine/Chinese herbal medicine. It was through her Acupuncture practice and passion for nutrition as a foundation for health, that she realized many of her patients needed extra support through nutrition. Even though she had training in nutrition, she wanted to dive deeper into Nutritional Therapy and functional nutrition to gain more knowledge and tools to offer her patients.  In 2011 she completed a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner training through the Nutritional Therapy Association.. Chaya also completed all levels of Restorative Wellness Solutions training, studying functional nutrition and now offers comprehensive functional testing for deeper understanding to a foundational and functional approach to health.

In her free time, you will find Chaya in the garden growing vegetables, hiking in the mountains, fermenting vegetables in the kitchen, practicing yoga/meditation, hanging with her children, or helping out on her husbands medicinal herb farm.

"Chaya's extensive skill and knowledge of Chinese Medicine and Nutritional Therapy are immediately apparent.  She exudes integrity and compassion and is a truly gifted practitioner.  Her treatments helped me gain a new perspective into my body and how I could pursue greater health and balance.  For the first time in years, I have felt a lasting improvement in my digestion due to her guidance and therefore have more energy, less pain and greater peace of mind!  I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her and experience her healing touch.  I highly recommend her to anyone in need of support for any condition or imbalance, she is amazing!"  ~E.E. Shelton, WA

"I had my first series of acupuncture sessions in Seattle in 1996.  Since then, I have been to almost a dozen different acupuncturists in various locales.  Of these, I would put Chaya at the top of the list for the depth and quality of treatments.  Her manner is proficient and assured, the range of her knowledge and expertise is admirable.  I always get favorable results from a session and the herbs she recommends are helpful.  I really appreciate having such a holistic approach to my health care." ~Lindsey Swope, Carlton WA

"I have been seeing Chaya Kudla since last August for both acupuncture and nutritional therapy both modalities work hand in hand in my situation and I have gained much knowledge about healing foods and foods that would be best to either eliminate altogether or have very occasionally. Acupuncture is not only a great healing power it is very relaxing as well. I can feel the chi (energy) moving in my body when the very fine needles are painlessly inserted. Chaya has a very professional technique and I always feel better when I leave her office. There are many healh giving benefits to visiting Twisp River Wellness and I recommend this wonderful healing treatment as a compliment to any other forms of wellness treatment." ~S.F.
